Messages that stay with the work

A decision made in a chat app is a decision you will lose. Beemud attaches conversations to the project or the task, so six months later the reason a deadline moved is on the thing whose deadline moved, not in a channel someone left.

What's included

  • Project-level and client-facing message threads
  • Task-level comment threads with mentions
  • Email notifications
  • Mobile push notifications
  • SMS notifications
  • Per-project alert rules and defaults
  • Per-user notification preferences

Two levels, on purpose

Projects have a thread for the running conversation with the client and the team. Tasks have their own comments for the detail that only matters to that task. Keeping them separate is what stops a project thread turning into an unreadable log of small clarifications.

Reaching people the way they actually respond

Notifications go out by email, mobile push and SMS. Which channel fires is a per-user preference and a per-project rule, which is how you get an overdue milestone to interrupt someone without every task comment doing the same.

Clients in the same thread

Client messaging runs through the portal and the mobile app on the same threads your team uses, scoped by permission. There is no separate client-facing inbox to keep in sync, because there is only one conversation.

Messaging questions

Does Beemud send SMS notifications?
Yes. Alongside email and mobile push, Beemud can deliver notifications by SMS. Delivery channels are set per user and per project.
Can I control which events notify my team?
Yes. Each project has alert rules with workspace-level defaults, and each user has their own notification preferences on top of them.
Do clients use the same threads as my team?
Yes, scoped by permission. Clients participate in the project threads they have access to through the portal or the mobile app; internal-only topics stay internal.
